I noticed that I am starting to spend a significant amount of time in DNS resolution with Dataone connection, often it is larger than the time it takes to actually get the reponse. Here is a simple solution to significantly speed up your DNS resolution. Open up the network connection profile and edit TCP/IP settings. In the DNS server address fields, specify the following DNS server addresses: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220. Disconnect the connection and then connect again.You are done. This specifies third party DNS servers which are significantly faster than BSNL Dataone’s DNS servers.

1.Create 2 connections with different names like "BSNL PORTAL" and "CELLONE PORTAL" with following settings.

2.now open phone's default inbuilt browser and select any of the two settings created to access the web.you will now access only bsnl's home site.

3.now keep browser working and open another browser for full internet access like opera or netfront.in these browsers use the second setting created.make sure to use second setting this time.connect to open a page.you get an error message like "ACCESS DENIED" but you dont worry.

4.keep both browsers working in background and open connection manager.in connection manager just disconnect the connection that is not working like the second one you used to connect opera or netfront.

5.again open opera or netfront from background and this time use the first connection that you are using to connect with default inbuilt browser to connect to internet.

This trick is about how to increase the speed of airtel dsl DNS servers so that we experience increased speed in gprs and airtel broadband connections.since sometimes it tooks about 4 seconds for a query or it gets timed up due to the overload of the airtel server.

So i started using OpenDSN server - which is a free and powerful DNS service. Use following DNS server address:
